The industry of non-ferrous metal objects comprises a group of more than a thousand companies throughout Brasil and generates 120 thousand direct jobs. The sector's income totals approximately US$ 4 billion per year. Industries of the sector do business with more than 40 countries, mostly in Latin America, Europe and Africa.  The design of Brazilian products for this sector is greatly influenced by Europe, especially by the Italian design. Some companies have already been awarded by acclaimed design contests, such as the XV Design Awards, Museum of the Brazilian House, IF Design, Selo Design, Excellence Brasil and others.
